Don't worry about the weather! We plan to run all lessons as scheduled, come rain, snow or ice - see our WEATHER page. If we can get to the site we will run the lessons. If you can't get there due to weather please ring us as soon as possible to let us know so that we can offer your slot to someone local on the waiting list and we will rebook you to an alternative date. |
All lessons are given by CRB checked, fully qualified DSA Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) in dual controlled cars, so you can enjoy learning to drive in a safe environment. Cars are fully insured for off road driving tuition for 14-year-olds, 15-year-olds and 16-year-olds on private roads. Become a young driver today!

What driving lessons are available for young drivers under 17?
We offer a choice of 1-to-1 driving lessons for young drivers under seventeen for rapid learning, or you can share the car with a friend for a fun off road driving experience.
All lessons follow the DSA syllabus for learning to drive, the same as if you were learning to drive on a public road, and we can cover a large proportion of the normal driving lessons with fourteen, fifteen and sixteen year olds on our 1.5km off road private circuit, giving you a great head start on the way to passing your practical driving test, and helping you to understand your theory test better too.
Our under 17s driving lessons are given in a dual-controlled manual car. You'll be doing REAL driving and learning clutch control from day 1.
Are under 17 driving lessons real learning, or just a bit of fun?
Learning should be fun - that way you remember the lessons! But there is definitely a serious side to our young driver training for under 17s. You will learn to control the car safely and this will give you confidence inside the car so that you can direct more of your attention outside the car once you start on the road. After your driving lesson you will be given handouts to help you remember and reinforce what you have learnt in that driving lesson.and to allow you to read ahead to learn how to handle the situations you will eet on the road.
This means when you take your driving lessons with us as a young driver aged 14, 15 or 16 you have the benefit of learning to drive and mastering the basic skills off road with no distractions and have great reference material to remind you once you start driving lessons on the road at 17.

Once you reach 17 and have your provisional driving licence you can start taking normal lessons on the road with our driving school MSM - Mirrors School of Motoring offering driving lessons in Farnborough, Fleet, Aldershot, Farnham and surrounding areas. This will build on the off-road under 17 driving lessons you took and help you on the road to passing your driving test as soon as possible - like these pupils who all started with U17 driving lessons at Eelmoor or Rushmoor and all went on to take lessons on road with us and pass their driving tests at the first attempt and are now very confident young drivers!

There are very few places around the UK where young drivers can learn to drive under seventeen on an off-road private road circuit, and even fewer where you can have 1-to-1 driving lessons aged fourteen, fifteen or sixteen following a structured programme.
